Being disrespectful to your spouse includes; being entitled to your opinion alone without allowing influence or input from your spouse.

The hallmark of kindness is consideration. It is important that marital partners choose to be considerate of one another’s health, emotions, appearance, career or ministry, and more because marriage comes with a lot of responsibilities that could make it overwhelming in nature.

Alignment of purpose does not mean that yourself and your intending spouse must have the same life mission; it simply means that both of you must have clarity of the problem each of you is created to solve and see how you can work with one another to achieve it.

For you to enjoy effective listening in your marital relationship, you have to intentionally shun whatever anybody has told you ahead what your spouse has to say, give your spouse a benefit of doubt at all time in your communication until he or she is proven wrong.
