The University of Ibadan buzzed with excitement on February 17th as it hosted the “Before You Say I Do” Singles Conference in collaboration with Sure Hope Counseling Clinic, a captivating program designed to empower singles on their journeys towards love and marriage.

The event, which was entitled “Before You Say I Do,” covered important subjects like:

  • Understanding compatibility and emotional intelligence in relationships
  • Effective communication and navigating conflict
  • Setting healthy boundaries and expectations
  • Understanding Self knowledge, Self acceptance and Self love.

Adding to the excitement were the famous steppers, renowned for their dynamic footwork, intricate routines, and electrifying stage presence. Their performance was a celebration of unity, precision, and artistic expression, leaving the audience in awe of their talent and energy.

The conference’s highlight was the keynote speech by Professor I.P. ONYEONORU, director of the Career Development and Counseling Center, University of Ibadan, and Mrs. Tosin Togun, counseling psychologist at Sure Hope Counseling Clinic. Renowned experts in marital counseling. Their insightful speech struck an intimate connection with the audience by stressing the value of self-awareness and emotional intelligence in creating healthy relationships, as well as providing helpful advice.
