According to Jesus, the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. As much as this commandment is easy to relate to, it might be difficult to obey if there is no self-love. This is so because no one can give what he or she does not have; one can only love spouses, children, friends, relatives, and neighbors to the extent one loves himself or herself. That is why self-love is central to a blissful marriage and to loving others rightly.
