Yesterday, it was said that faith is not against reality, and in many cases, being realistic does position us to be open and sincere with God so as to maximize our faith. Bathsheba, in our text today, knew that if she did not switch to action in securing the throne for her son (Solomon), after the death of her husband, the king, she would be mercilessly dealt with by her enemies. Therefore, being realistic stirred her to get committed to seeing her son reign on his destined throne.

There are parents using this devotional whose enemy is set to make a mess of their destinies, if their children do not emerge to rule on their destined throne; for this reason, God stirred me to write this. What is the reality of the situation you are in right now concerning your children? Rise up like the Bathsheba that you are and ensure that he or she lives and reigns.
