On 6th of June 2024, our organization successfully conducted an interactive awareness talk on puberty and sexuality management at Ojoo High School, Ojoo. The session aimed to empower students with accurate information and skills to navigate this critical phase of life and also to educate students on puberty and sexuality management, and raise awareness on rape prevention.
It was a combined session for male and female students of the students which involve Interactive talk and Q&A session with counselors
Students learned about physical and emotional changes during puberty
– Importance of hygiene, self-care, and body changes
– Understanding of consent, boundaries, and healthy relationships
– Awareness on rape prevention and support resources
In order to strengthen the program’s messages, we gave the school:
A calendar with information on sexual assault and rape prevention
Books for boys and girls on managing their sexuality and going through adolescence
The awareness program was a success, providing a safe space for students to learn and ask questions. Students demonstrated enthusiasm and engagement, indicating a positive impact. Ojoo High School has taken a crucial step in promoting healthy development and preventing sexual violence.
