On 30th of May 2024, our organization had the privilege of engaging with the students of ANSAR-UD-DEEN HIGH SCHOOL GBAREMU on a crucial aspect of their development: puberty and sexuality management and also how to prevent rape and sexual assaults. This interactive session aimed to equip the young minds with accurate knowledge, dispel myths, and foster healthy attitudes towards growth, relationships, and reproductive health.
Topics covered included physical and emotional changes, hygiene, consent, and goal-setting.
– Students demonstrated increased understanding and confidence in addressing puberty and sexuality-related issues.
– Feedback during question and answer indicated reduced stigma and improved knowledge retention.
In order to strengthen the program’s messages, we gave the school:
A calendar with information on sexual assault and rape prevention
Books for boys and girls on managing their sexuality and going through adolescence
With inquiries and discussions, the students contributed enthusiastically to the sessions. They showed a thorough comprehension of the subjects and gratitude for the available resources.
