Bitter envy is the attitude of wanting to be like someone else and resenting him or her for his or her attributes, possessions, success, favor, or kind of life to the point of death.
One of the characteristics of negative self-perception is that its victims rarely accept their flaws or weaknesses, and they rarely seek help when they are in need because they usually believe they are self-sufficient.
Not seeking help and not accepting faults are both indications of negative self-perception, which could afterward trigger bitter envy if not diagnosed and treated on time.
More so, bitter envy could as well predict unhealthy competition between spouses, domestic violence, sibling rivalry, poverty, and abuse of all sorts, thereby impeding marital growth.
