Yesterday, I said that parenting is highly rewarding but attracts labor before leisure. Just as Bathsheba first has to secure the throne for her son before she can become the king’s mother, likewise, parenting is first an investment; whether it is rightly or wrongly done, it is always highly rewarding with a huge dividend, following the pattern in which it has been done.
In our text today, the daughter of an ungodly king was set to pay Jochebed wages if she could nurture Moses for her. How much more will God highly reward every parent who is set to raise their children for him, for children are God’s heritage.
