Being empathic with people is not the same as throwing away your values and belief system so as to accommodate them. Rather, empathy is the act of understanding the emotions behind why people act the way they do, so that you can be better informed in relating with them.
However, emphatic people are confident people who easily win the loyalty of those they are in a relationship with.
