Yesterday, it was said that Jochebed (the mother of the Biblical Moses) must have endured separation from friends and other women in her community to be able to successfully hide her newborn baby for three months without attracting the attention of his destiny’s hunters. In the same vein, the virtue of endurance will be needed to cut down on some excesses that we might strongly desire and want to hold on to, as our text emphasizes today that there is time for everything, and an understanding of time and season is required for effective parenting.

Likewise, watching over your seed takes high focus and a lot of concentration, which will require deliberate efforts that might not be easy to come by without the virtue of endurance. There are certain personal goals and social activities that might have to be put on hold so as to watch over your seed successfully and productively.
