When a person has a poor estimation of himself or herself, he/she has negative self-perception or poor self-image.

One of the symptoms such a person exhibits is lying and insulting other people in driving home his/her point; howbeit, lying is a behavioral misconduct that is associated with negative self-concept. It is important for our ‘Yes’ to be ‘Yes’ and our ‘No’ to be ‘No’, which will be easily achieved when our esteem is enhanced through positive self- perception.

A number of people suffering from negative self-perception do find it convenient to neglect the care of theirselves at the expense of circumstances and dictates of others.

A man cannot be better than his profession or confession about himself. When you don’t believe in yourself, it will show in how you address yourself.

There are indicators that reveal how well a person’s self-esteem or self-perception is; when one or two of these indicators or characteristics pop up in our daily dealings with people, they can easily tell where to place our esteem, which further affects how well we relate to our marital challenges.

Self- respect is the act of having unapologetic reference for one’s values, interest, temperament, around the clock, life mission and strengths (VITALS). Without adequate honor or regard for yourself, you can easily look down on your opinion or your ideas with little opposition, rejection or strain.
