In our text today, we saw how the first conflict ever recorded in the Bible went because no one was ready to take responsibility for the offense committed; each person involved was busy playing blame game, and at the end, the conflict ended up not adding any value to either party. In my opinion, if Adam or Eve had taken responsibility for their offenses, confessed them to God genuinely, apologized for them, and shown commitment to repentance, it is possible that God judges the case differently.
