Our Bible text says that Jochebed hid her son for three months for him to live. This can only be better imagined than experienced! How was she able to hold her joy of motherhood for those three months without making noise about it? How was she able to keep her child consistently fixed to her breast for three months so that his voice of crying would not be heard? How about bathing the baby? Indeed, parenting is sacrificial and requires a high level of commitment, and patience is one of the high costs of parenting.
