Paying excessive attention to your body or appearance to the point where you cannot accept yourself or feel accepted unless you appear in a certain way may be outrageous and may be a sign of something missing internally.

There is a call to strike a balance between our outward appearance and our inner-self. This is important for a sustainable relationship with God, yourself and your spouse.
